Cyclone Filters solutions
Cyclone separators are devices that utilize centrifugal forces and low pressure caused by spinning motion to separate materials of differing density, size, and shape. Gas cyclones are widely used in industry for the separation of particles from gas and air streams, while water cyclones, also known as hydrocyclones, are used for the separation of fluids of differing densities. Cyclones are popular because they are simple and inexpensive to manufacture, require little maintenance, contain no moving parts, and have the ability to operate at high temperatures and pressures.

Used In: Cooling towers, deep wells, process cooling systems, steel mills, heating & ventilating systems, refineries, as pre-filtration before water purification systems, waste water systems.
Working principle: Systems influent passes through the Centrifugal Separator in a high velocity circular motion. Centrifugal force slings the particulates, sand, debris, and sludge outward to the separator wall and downward in a spiral motion. Gravitational force pulls the separated solid particles downward past the spin trap plate into the solids holding chamber. Cleansed effluent then rises through the vortex locator and returns back to the system.
The cyclon separator has no screens, slotted baffles, moving parts or filter media to cause unnecessary pressure loss or use of large volumes of backwash water. No maintenance is required; however periodic opening of the purge valve is necessary to dispose of unwanted solids.
- Un-interruption of flow during the purging
- Very low water loss during cleaning
- No pressure drop
- Very easy to install
- No need for any by-pass which reduces the installation cost
- No cost for general or periodical maintenance
